Please Do Not Disturb

I made these cute do not disturb door hangers for the out of town guest bags at my wedding.

These could work for any kind of late night party. Alternatively, they would be adorable for a baby's door if you substitute out the "I partied all night" and skulls with "its nap-time" and rubber duckies or sheep.

To create these, I used khaki cover weight paper from Paper Source, a skull stamp, clear embossing powder, and watermark stamp pad all also from Paper Source, an exacto knife and cutting mat, 1/8" hole punch and 1/4" brown grosgrain ribbon.

We did it! Such a fun weekend, I wish I could go back and relive it all over!! My friend Leslie sent me this cute photo. Now that the obsessing over details is over, I can obsess over photos, yay!!!

Repurposed with a purpose

I need this in my kitchen! I love that the "shelf" is repurposed and that you can see through it. Plus, I am obsessed with the idea of hanging our pots and pans, as opposed to stacking them in our currently not fabulous cabinet situation. 1st Birthday Party

I came across this adorable little boy's birthday party decor on Twig & Thistle. Love it all, from the welcome lifesavers to the flags and hats! Am guessing that all of this will be much more appreciated by the parents than the 1 year olds, but it sure has the makings of a festive party for all! Of course the invitations to the party were awesome and on theme as well.

Something Blue

I walked by Banana yesterday and thought I'd go see if they had any new jewelry in, plus was curious about the Mad Men Casting Call poster in the window. Am really into the show right now, getting through Season 2 on dvd to be ready for the new one on August 16th.
Anyway back to the jewelry... They usually have fun rings and never too expensive. On my way in the store, something sparkling caught my eye mixed into the clutch display... blue jeweled hairclips and pins. Perfect. I have been putting off this whole something blue bit since there is not a speck of blue elsewhere in my wedding. Done.
