Cookie sandwiches

Last night's dessert. Sugar cookies with raspberry filling. Yum!

Paperwhites

These are the last of the paperwhites I potted this year.

Sparkly stars

This setting is from Martha's latest wedding issue, but wouldn't it be a great New year's table? Love it either way. Paper lanterns here.

Creamy and dreamy

These packages are basically the ultimate of my gift wrapping obsession. Can we talk about the gorgeousness?! From Style Me Pretty. Instructions for the first one on the second row here.

Papercuts

I am completely amazed by this paper artwork. The artist, Peter Callesen says on his website that he uses regular A4 sheets of paper "because its probably the most common and consumed media and format for carrying information today, and in that sense is something very loaded." I can't get over that it is just made from a piece of paper and glue! So delicate.

Green, white and mercury glass

Clean, classic look for a holiday table. Groups of a single type of flower in mercury vases, all white and greens. These are parrot tulips, amaryllis, ranunculus and anemones. I like the choice of a dark plate to go with all of the white and shiny.

Sweater weather

I love the bride and attendants in soft white and cream sweaters over their dresses. Boots and umbrellas- perfect for a rainy day. Why fight mother nature when you can be cute and go with it. Check out the post on Once Wed with more amazing details from this wedding!

Nice package

So I really have wrapping on the mind these days and I love this set of vintag-y cute coordinated wrapping essentials by nice package. Great name.

And of course I love this garland. Nice use of a doily. Pretty paper everywhere!

Craft labels

I found these Martha Stewart adhesive labels at Michaels and am finding them very useful this holiday! I embossed these with opaque white greetings.

Furniture factory cart

I really like this furniture factory cart from restoration hardware as a vintage coffee table. Think santa can fit one in my stocking? Restoration is having a friends and family at the moment and the postcard said pass it on, so I am! 20% off, Dec 11 to 14, code F2P2009. While you are shopping, you might want to pick up this funny accessory for cold weather hand holding.

Vintage blue xmas table

House Beautiful gave 15 designers basic white Pottery Barn white place settings as a base to create a holiday table. My favorite was this one. The whites mixed with the vintage blue and creamy lace is so soft and yummy. See the rest of the tables here.

Vermont Wedding

There are so many things I love about this gorgrous wedding posted on Green Wedding Shoes. First the attire- I heart the groom's entire ensemble, very well put together! The patterned suit has great depth and the vest adds a nice layer of detail with the topstiching. Do I even have to mention the purple tie/pocket square combo?! So cute. The bride's dress goes perfectly, a little old fashioned and sweet but in a floaty, current kind of way. Also love the non matching bridesmaids in different shades of purple. Well done.
My other crush on this wedding is their chandeliers. A great way to create intimacy with such a high ceiling and a perfect foil for the rest of the rustic decor. They add a touch of fantasy. *Sigh*

Cosy inside

Snowy outside! We looked out the window this morning to the first snow of winter.

Winter table

Neutral, natural and soft. Kind of dreamy.
I'll be posting more holiday tables all the way up to christmas. Hope you will be as inspired as I am!

DIY gold leaf garland

I want to do this! I wonder how long it will take for mine to be a nice long garland to hang over the mirror above our fireplace. I also like the idea of the leaves as place cards. I did a version of my own a few years ago and painted actual fallen leaves gold for Thanksgiving dinner at my parents. They were a little bit hard to write on. This conveniently does not involve having to search the backyard for 14 perfect dry leaves with no holes or wilting. Instructions here.
