Velvet Pumpkins

I know its only July and I am getting ahead of myself, but wouldn't Ink & Peat's velvet pumpkins be excellent place-card holders/table decor for Thanksgiving dinner? Ever since we made all of our guests Martha Stewarts's Pom-Pom Tom, its been hard to repeat the excitement over our table!

Utterly Engaged

I saw this new online wedding magazine on Green Wedding Shoes. Pretty dresses, smartly decorated tables, gorgeous photos, chic crafts, all for a budget minded bride. What's missing? Just the cheese factor that makes most bridal magazines so hard to read. Cheers to cheese free! Keep it up!

PS. I am totally going to make this craft from their second issue!

I found these great letterpress coasters over the weekend at Greer. There is something funny about the coaster telling me what to do and enjoying it. Really great as a unique hostess gift, don't you think?

Chalkbot paints the Tour de France

The Daily News had this article on the chalk message campaign that has been launched by Nike and Lance Armstrong's Livestrong organization at the Tour de France and I had to find out more about it.   The Chalkbot will paint personalized inspirational messages in yellow chalk along the route of the Tour, about 8 hours in front of the riders.  To submit a message, text "LIVESTRONG", followed by your message to 36453.  You can also enter a message from the official site, www.wearyellow.com.  The two videos below explain what it is and how it works.  Pretty cool.

St. Germain

Just in case you are thirsty or have been searching for the perfect summer cocktail- fret no more! We've seen this liquor popping up on cocktail menus all over the city and had to give it a try. Not too sweet but faintly floral. We like. Try this recipe. Sip. Repeat. Ahhhhhhhh.

2 SHOTS Champagne* or Dry White Wine 1 ½ SHOTS St-Germain 2 SHOTS Sparkling Water or Club Soda
METHOD: Stir ingredients in a tall ice-filled Collins glass, mixing completely. Think of Paris circa 1947. Garnish with a lemon twist. VARIATION: Think of Sartre circa 1947. Be the lemon twist. * Or Sparkling Wine, Prosecco or Cava

I love, love, love this wisteria tree that was created for one of my favorite stores, Anthropologie, by one of their display coordinators in California, Ruthi Auda. Could I get married under branches of paper wisteria?!

Hi There.

Welcome to my new project! I am feeling pretty lucky this morning so here we go. I see things all the time that are amazingly attractive or so interesting that they make me excited, make my heart beat a little faster or just make me feel good, so I'd like to share. Let the fun begin!
